Welcome

Align & Restore Osteopathy is currently accepting new patients.

What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a manual therapy that focuses on structural (anatomical) assessment of deviations which reside in the body as motion restrictions and asymmetries. These deviations leading to subjective complaints and tissue texture changes over time. Overall, interfering with proper bodily function of some or all body systems. Treatment of these findings is applied through osteopathic concepts and principles.

How Can Osteopathy Help?

As Osteopathic Manual Practitioners we are trained to find and remove structural (anatomical) obstructions in the body that affect the nervous, arterial, venous and lymphatic pathways. Often the symptoms a patient experiences can be a resultant of structural dysfunction. Therefore, we use our knowledge of anatomy and physiology, along with our technical abilities to efficiently find the root cause and treat this through gentle manipulation. This helps the body in restoring proper homeostatic function and promoting overall health.

Osteopathy focuses on treating the body, not specific conditions. We do not provide medical diagnoses of conditions. Please consult your primary care physician in regards to this.

Insurance

Practitioners licensed by the Ontario Osteopathic Association (OOA) are recognized by all insurance providers in Ontario, and most in all of Canada. The OOA only accepts the highest trained osteopathic practitioners with stringent licensing requirements and testing.
